Archons is the story of Sled Dog, a rock band that has fallen from favor half a decade after the publication of their breakthrough single Backfire. Emerson Gilmore, rock hero and lifelong idol, inspires Eric to try another chance at success, out in the Canadian mountains with a guitar and a bag of hallucinogenic drugs, like Emerson Gilmore did in the 1970s.
