In the futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy (Atom) is a young robot with extraordinary abilities developed by a genius scientist in the likeness of his lost son. Astro embarks on a trip in search of acceptance, encountering betrayal and a netherworld populated by robot gladiators, before returning to save Metro City and reconcile with his father, who rejected him.
