Coop and Remer, two losers from Milwaukee, invent a new game of basketball using baseball rules. When the game becomes a huge success, they form the Professional Basketball League with the help of a billionaire, where everyone gets the same pay and no team can move cities. Theirs is the only team standing in the way of major rule changes proposed by the owner of a rival team.
