Small-town Scotland in 1994. Johnno and Spanner, despite their extreme differences, share a profound friendship. As they approach maturity, their paths are about to diverge: Johnno's family is relocating him to a new town in search of a better life, while Spanner is left behind to face an uncertain future. That will change this summer, though, as the country as a whole faces an entirely new challenge. Everywhere in the United Kingdom, a counter-cultural youth movement is growing in strength and size.
