Pacifica is an undersea metropolis where a group of twenty-first-century colonists live. The US government wants to store all of Fort Knox's gold there, along with a great new radioactive element. The brother of Pacifica's returning former commander seeks to take the riches, while a meteor threatens to destroy the city.
