A rival company, Pinwheel Robotics, and a Japanese company, Kobayashi Electronics, dominate the cybernetics business in the year 2074. Pinwheel Robotics is based in the United States while Kobayashi Electronics is located in Japan. Cyborgs are prevalent, and they may be found in a variety of roles ranging from military to prostitutes and everything in between. Casella Reese is a prototype cyborg being built for corporate espionage and assassination. She is the daughter of a former military officer. A liquid explosive known as Glass Shadow is injected into her body to give her the appearance of being alive. Pinwheel intends to replace the entire Kobayashi board of directors with Casella, which will be used to accomplish this.
