Swantham, Daivathinte Cleetus is centered on Cleetus (Mammootty), a feared long-haired rogue. He astounds the parish priest (Siddique) with his uncanny resemblance to Jesus Christ in appearance and demeanor. The priest casts him in the role of Jesus Christ for a light and sound show for their upcoming festival. During rehearsals, his true self emerges. The fact that he is a goon is revealed, but the priest decides to continue working with him in the hope that the experience of playing the noble character will lead to his transformation.
