Eddie and the Cruisers were the hottest band of the sixties. When its lead singer died, though, the band disintegrated. Eddie is the only one who is still alive. In Montreal, he is employed as a carpenter. He is compelled by his passion for music to form a new band that will have to contend with the stigma of being an unknown.
