Colonel Stok, a Soviet intelligence officer in charge of security at the Berlin Wall, appears to have a desire to defect, although the evidence to support this claim is conflicting. For his defection, Stok wishes the British to handle everything, and he requests that one of their spies, Harry Palmer, smuggle him out of East Germany.
