Hurricane Streets
Marcus is a street youngster in New York City. His father has died, and his mother is serving time in prison for transporting unauthorized immigrants. He's being raised by his granny. He has a subterranean clubhouse with four close friends where they shoplift and sell the goods to children. One is attempting to sell narcotics. Marcus wants to get away from the city and spend time with his family in New Mexico. Melena,14, is a sweet girl who wishes to visit Alaska; her father is not just protective, but also hostile and uncommunicative. Marcus is pressured by the group to progress to burglary and auto theft. He simply wants to take a deep breath of fresh air. Is there any hope?
