Jodorowsky's Dune
This documentary was filmed in France, England, Switzerland, and the United States. It is about the director Alejandro Jodorowsky (El Topo, Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre) and his crazy attempt to make a movie out of the classic sci-fi novel Dune in 1974. After spending 2 years and millions of dollars, the huge project fell apart, but the artists Jodorowsky brought together for the legendary project continued to work together. This group of artists, or "warriors" as Jodorowsky called them, went on to make movies like Alien, Blade Runner, Star Wars, and Total Recall that helped define modern science fiction cinema.
