Longfellow Deeds, a small-town pizza entrepreneur and poet, receives $40 billion from his deceased uncle and begins rolling in a different type of dough. A new city has brought Deeds a new set of challenges, including the constant threat of opportunists swooping in to take advantage of him. Babe, a reporter for a television tabloid, assumes the persona of a naïve small-town girl in order to conduct an investigation into Deeds.
