Nearing retirement, Sully is an out-of-control con man. Meanwhile, he is secretly working for his arch-nemesis Carl and having sexual relations with Carl's young wife Toby while filing a workers' compensation claim for a bad knee. Sully's long-forgotten son and his family have returned to town, so Sully has to deal with a new set of family dynamics. Sully's landlady's banker son plans to push through a new development and kick Sully out of his mother's life while he's at it.
