Without a place to flee...without a place to hide. Ashley's reputation is shattered when two teen girls brutally imitate her online in a reverse cyber bullying scheme. She and her mother, Julie (a high school teacher), are social outcasts, forced to flee a rising danger to their life. Starting again in a new town and school, they are drawn out of solitude by romantic interests and emotional lectures from Kevin, an eccentric history teacher. When the past catches up with Ashley, she pulls on the knowledge she gained from Kevin's history lessons, giving her the courage to stand up to the bullies who torment her. Ashley tackles her tragic history with the support of her mother and newfound friends, utilizing the very means of social media and technology that initially harmed her to reveal lies and communicate the truth.
