According to the film, the true story of Special Operations Executive agent Odette Sansom, who was arrested by the Germans in 1943 and sentenced to death before being taken to Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she was executed, is told. Despite all difficulties, she managed to survive the war and testify against the jail guards during the Hamburg Ravensbrück Trials in 1945. As the first and only woman to get the George Cross while still alive, she was honored with it in1946, making her the first and only woman in history to do so.
