Patti Smith: Electric Poet
Patti Smith comes in New York at the age of 20 and immediately begins to shake up the conventions of rock, poetry, and genre. She never participated in the game, but yet managed to become a living legend. She is also a musician and an actress. Also militant. An artist who has lived a thousand different lives and is now 74 years old. Patti Smith's life is chronicled in detail throughout the documentary. First, childhood, and the words of the artist who says: "I yearned to stand out from the crowd. I felt detached. Not only did I feel isolated from the other children, but also from the rest of the world. Throughout my childhood, I was certain that I came from another planet." Little Patti was raised in the countryside of New Jersey by her mother, who was a Jehovah's Witness and provided her with a devout upbringing. Patti Smith, however, departs from the movement since it does not correspond with her artistic tendencies.
