Rise is based on the true story of Will McIntyre, a young nurse accused of rape following a one-night encounter. Despite his innocence, he is convicted at trial. Jimmy Cove, a hardened inmate famed for a run of armed robberies, is positively touched by Will's bravery and struggle to make sense of it all.
