Penny Chenery, a housewife and mother, agrees to take over her ailing father's Meadow Stables in Virginia, despite her lack of horse-racing experience. Against all odds, Chenery navigates the male-dominated business with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin, eventually fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years.
