So Long, Stooge
Lambert is a burned-out case who works the night shift at a gas station, rarely speaks, lives alone, and consumes alcoholic beverages. Bensoussan, who was reared in foster homes and is now a part-time pusher for a bar owner named Rashid, arrives at the station in search of a spark plug for a stolen Moped. He and Lambert strike up a conversation and go for a drink a few days later. The young man is too carefree, and after stealing Rashid's expensive motorcycle a few times, he becomes expendable. Lambert seeks information from Lola, a punk who knew Bensoussan, in order to avenge the young guy. She pierces Lambert's shell with remarkable persistence; he regains his ability to feel, tells Lola his story, and discovers a new zest for life.
