The Captive Heart
The lives and loves of nine guys in a POW camp over five years. Believability is increased by shooting in the occupied region of Germany. As a way of hiding his identity from the Nazis, Hasek (Redgrave) poses as a dead English officer and writes to the officer's widow. Upon release, they meet and decide to stay together. The stories of the other convicts emerge in segments.
