The Cat Concerto
Tom makes his entrance from stage left dressed in a white tie and tails. He takes his seat at the piano, gathers his concentration as the orchestra warms up in the pit below him, and then begins to play "Hungarian Rhapsody" by Liszt. Jerry is sound asleep over several of the high-note keys within the instrument, which Tom and the audience are unaware of; however, Jerry is finally roused from his sleep by Tom's playing. As Tom the cat attempts to perform the concerto while simultaneously getting rid of Jerry, Jerry is subjected to being beaten with hammers, bounced by cables, and squeezed by Tom. Jerry's defensive antics contribute to the brio of the concert and counter Tom with Jerry's own superb musical attack. This is in response to Tom's attack. At the conclusion of the concerto, there is only one animal left standing to receive the plaudits from the crowd.
