The Pyjama Girl Case
Two stories that appear to be unrelated take place in New South Wales: first, the body of a young woman who had been burned and murdered is discovered on the beach, and a retired inspector begins an investigation; second, Linda, a waitress and ferry attendant, has multiple lovers, marries one of them, but she still sees the other lovers. The authorities have a person of interest in connection with the homicide, but the retired inspector is confident that they have the wrong person; he is proceeding with a thorough investigation. As a result of their divorce, Linda and her husband have a number of difficulties. Will there be a crossover between the stories, or have they already been intertwined?
