William Munny is a soft-spoken widower and hog farmer who used to be a cold-blooded murderer but has since changed his ways. As a last-ditch effort to provide for his two motherless children, he agrees to take on one more bounty-hunter expedition to track down the individuals responsible for the violent assault on a prostitute. In this battle against a crooked sheriff, he is assisted by his former partner and by a brazen rookie.
