A teacher, Komiya, and his overpowering spouse, Tokio, are to care for Setsuko, their high-spirited niece from Osaka. Despite being a minor, Setsuko is a liberated female that does whatever she wants, including smoking cigarettes. She also encourages Koyima to take her to a geisha residence. When she obtains instead tipsy, the teacher calls Okada, one of his students, to take her house. The spouse becomes suspicious of Setsuko when she sees Okada bringing her house.
