Wicked City
This gloomy adult-oriented thriller from Japan is animated. The Earth's peace accord with the Black World, a parallel world populated by spider-like aliens, is coming to an end. Taki, a human male cop, and Maki, a female alien cop, have been sent to protect a diplomat who will assist in the signing of another treaty. A fanatical faction of aliens from the Black World is attempting to assassinate the diplomat and prevent the treaty from being signed; only the friendship that develops between the two cops may save the planet from annihilation. In many graphic situations, sex is strongly associated with violence; while this is intended to be a symbolic function, it is overused. The plot is compelling, but the film is not suitable for youngsters or those who are easily offended.
