Window Horses: The Poetic Persian Epiphany of Rosie Ming
Rosie Ming, a young Canadian poet, has been invited to play at the Shiraz Poetry Festival, but she would rather be in Paris. She lives with her overprotective Chinese grandparents and has never traveled alone. Once in Iran, she meets poets and Persians who tell her stories that push her to confront her past; the Iranian father she imagined abandoned her; and the essence of Poetry itself. It's about bridging generational and cultural gaps. It all comes down to being inquisitive. Continually available. And, through the enchantment of poetry, discovering your own voice. Through learning about her father's background, her own cultural identity, and her commitment to it, Rosie embarks on an unwitting journey of forgiveness, reconciliation, and perhaps most importantly, understanding.
