Ostwind and Mika have found a real home with Mika's grandmother on the farm Kaltenbach. Mika feels she doesn't have enough freedom and time to ride because of the demands of running a treatment facility and her celebrity as a horse whisperer. After a heated argument with her grandma, Mika sneaks away for the night in the direction of eastern Andalusia, Spain, where she believes Ostwind's ancestors may have settled.
