Danny and his buddies arrive at Hobb Springs, a neglected resort deep in the West Virginia hills, after receiving an unexpected and strange inheritance. Hobb Springs is cared for by Jackson and Sally, a socially awkward pair who introduce Danny to his long-lost family. Hillicker clan. Danny soon discovers, however, that his relatives have a different way of life, that the Hillickers have practiced ancient cannibalism and other taboo practices for decades.
