My Kingdom
The Prince Regent of the Qing Dynasty orders the wholesale death of the entire Meng clan in the 19th century. The leader swears that his family will avenge this perversion of justice before he is beheaded. Erkui, a five-year-old Meng kid, heroically sings an aria while he waits for his death. Master Yu, an opera singer, and his seven-year-old apprentice Guan Yilong are both moved by his voice's force and purity. The boy is saved by Master Yu, and the two orphans become brothers. Years later, Master Yu receives the Prince Regent's prized golden "The Mightiest Warrior" plaque, but loses it to his archrival Master Yue in a duel. Following his defeat, Master Yu is exiled from the stage and spends his time in the hamlet training the two brothers. When the brothers reach adulthood, they decide to seek retribution in Shanghai. They rapidly defeat Master Yue in Shanghai, capturing not just the plaque but also the Yue's opera group.
