The Rape of Recy Taylor
Recy Taylor, a 24-year-old black mother as well as sharecropper, was gang raped by six white young boys in 1944 Alabama. Common in Jim Crow South, couple of ladies spoke out in anxiety for their lives. Not Recy Taylor, who bravely determined her rapists. The NAACP sent its principal rape investigator Rosa Parks, that rallied support and caused an unprecedented protest for justice. The movie exposes a tradition of physical abuse of black women as well as reveals Rosa Parks' intimate function in Recy Taylor's story.
