The Young Karl Marx
Karl Marx is 26 years old when he and his wife Jenny leave their home country to go into exile. In 1844, he meets Friedrich Engels in Paris. Engels is the son of an industrialist and has been looking into how the British working class came to be. Engels, the dandy, adds the last piece to Karl Marx's new view of the world as a young man. Together, they will lead the labor movement into the modern era, through censorship, police repression, riots, and political upheavals.
