20/20
Since the 6th of June in1978, the American television network ABC has been the home to the newsmagazine known as 20/20. The show was developed by Roone Arledge, an executive at ABC News. It was modeled after CBS's 60 Minutes and has a similar format, although it concentrates more on stories of human interest than it does on international or political topics. The term"20/20" is a measurement of a person's visual acuity, which is where the application gets its name. Even though special episodes of the program are occasionally broadcast on other nights, the one-hour program has traditionally aired on Friday evenings. This has been the case for the vast majority of the time since September1987, when it moved from airing on Thursdays to its current timeslot on Fridays.
