Aftershock: Earthquake in New York is a two-part four-hour disaster miniseries that aired on CBS in the United States in 1999. It came out on VHS in 2000 and DVD in 2001. It is based on Chuck Scarborough's book. Charles S. Dutton, Sharon Lawrence, Tom Skerritt, Lisa Nicole Carson, Jennifer Garner, Rachel Ticotin, and Frederick Weller star in this comedy. The miniseries follows five groups of people in the aftermath of a major earthquake that strikes New York City, and is directed by Mikael Salomon. For the special effects, it received an Emmy nomination. While the amazing effects and acting were appreciated, the film was highly criticized for its improbable plot, predictability, and lack of reality.
