Bagpuss
The British children's television series Bagpuss aired on BBC One from 12 February 1974 to 7 May1974, and was created by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate of Smallfilms. An "old, droopy, fabric cat, baggy, and a touch loose at the seams," as the tagline put it. While only 13 episodes were produced, they were shown frequently in the UK for 13 years, and the show is still warmly remembered by many. In1999, a BBC survey found that Bagpuss was the most popular children's TV show in the United Kingdom.
