Being Erica
Being Erica is a Canadian comedy-drama show that ran on CBC from January 5, 2009, to December 12, 2011. The show, which was made by Jana Sinyor, was first announced by the CBC as The Session, but it was renamed Being Erica before it started airing in 2009. It is made by Temple Street Productions and sent around the world by BBC Worldwide. Erin Karpluk plays Erica Strange, a woman who starts seeing a therapist to deal with her regrets, only to find out that the therapist can send her back in time to relive these events and even change them. The second season started on September22,2009, in Canada. Due to budget cuts at the CBC, the second season only had 12 episodes. Being Erica was given a third season of 13 episodes by the CBC on May11, 2010. Soapnet said that it would also get the full third season. The third season started on CBC Television on September21,2010, at 9 p.m. ET. In the US, Season 3 started airing on Soapnet on January26, 2011. The last season of the show aired in the fall of 2011. Even though the CBC never officially cancelled the show, Sinyor told TV Guide during the fourth and final season that the series had come to a natural end and that she had no plans to write or produce a fifth season.
