The Slap
The Slap is a drama series that airs on Australian television. It was initially shown on ABC1 from the 6th of October until the 24th of November in 2011. The Slap is a novel written by Australian author Christos Tsiolkas that was published in 2008 and won multiple awards. The narrative investigates what occurs after a man at a suburban barbecue smacks a youngster who is not related to him. This novel serves as the basis for the series. The series was produced by Tony Ayres, Helen Bowden, and Michael McMahon of Matchbox Pictures, with Penny Chapman serving as executive producer. The majority of the filming took place in Melbourne, which is located in Victoria. Each of the directors, Jessica Hobbs, Matthew Saville, Tony Ayres, and Robert Connolly, were responsible for the direction of two episodes. Emily Ballou, Alice Bell, Brendan Cowell, Kris Mrksa, and Cate Shortland were all members of the team that was responsible for writing.
