The Untouchables
The Untouchables was a popular American crime drama that aired on ABC from 1959 to 1963. Based on Eliot Ness and Oscar Fraley's memoir of the same name, it fictionalizes Ness' experiences as a Prohibition agent battling crime in Chicago in the 1930s with a special team of agents recruited for their daring and incorruptibility, nicknamed the Untouchables. The book was adapted into a 1987 film by Brian De Palma and a 1993 TV series. Robert Stack won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series for The Untouchables in 1960.
