Ultraman Max
Ultraman Max was a television series based on the Ultraman franchise that debuted on July7, 2005 and was created by Tsuburaya Productions in collaboration with Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Co., Ltd. With the exception of Ultraman Nexus, the show attempted to return to its original format, which featured new monsters introduced on a weekly basis and a rapid pace of action, as it had in earlier series. The show pays tribute to previous series in a number of different ways. For example, three of the original cast members from the first Ultraman series are featured in an episode. Additionally, the show features updated versions of classic monsters such as Red King, Eleking, and Pigmon, amongst others. One of the more peculiar episodes is on the production of the television show Ultra Q in1964, which aired two years before the debut of the first Ultraman show in 1966. Two of the actors who feature on the show do so in their real lives.
