Wasteland

When Hana Sikorova, mayor of a northern Bohemian hamlet, faces up to a coal mining firm, her 14-year-old daughter Misha disappears. After years of peaceful coexistence, Hana becomes suspicious of the entire village in her search for her daughter. The village begins to fall apart under the strain of developing events, revealing its true face. The plot is divided into multiple interwoven narratives that eventually converge in surprising ways as the mystery is solved.
